Scuba Equipment

Proper scuba gear is essential for any underwater adventure. For the novice or vacation diver, much of these items can be rented. However, many avid divers prefer to purchase their own equipment.

For beginning divers there are some basic pieces of scuba equipment that you will need to get started. A mask and a snorkel, scuba weights and swimming fins are all essential because these are the items that usually cannot be rented. This basic equipment can also be used for snorkeling, which is often how divers begin their training.

As a diver advances it is common to begin purchasing more expensive pieces of scuba equipment. If you’re diving frequently, it is often less expensive to purchase your own tanks, regulators and other equipment, than it is to rent them each time out. It is recommended that one consults with a professional before purchasing any diving equipment.
